COLLEGE UNION

The role of student unions is to represent students and ensure their voices are heard both internally and externally. Student unions can address a wide range of issues, from student benefits and social concerns to curriculum matters and the menus at university restaurants. The College Union is the representative student body that provides a forum for all students to participate in developing and implementing the college's Vision and Mission. It offers leadership training, encourages students to help communities respond appropriately to disasters, and focuses on rebuilding both themselves and those around them during recovery.

Objectives:

To enlighten students about their duties, rights, and responsibilities as young women citizens, promoting opportunities for character development, knowledge, creativity, environmental awareness, and humanitarian service.

To organize debates, seminars, and workshops, and to foster sports, arts, and cultural talents. This includes organizing programs like the College Arts Fest and raising awareness about contemporary regional and national issues.

The College Union operates under a Constitution prescribed by the Syndicate of Calicut University and functions under the guidance of Staff Advisors.
