Our college maintains a healthy and congenial academic environment for the student. The institution offers protection to the new entrants from the menace of ragging. In this regard this Institution has constituted an anti-ragging cell. Also an anti-ragging squad has been deputed from all department to monitor students discipline both inside and outside the campus. The college level punishment in cases of ragging as per UGC directives includes one or more of the following:

The Anti-Ragging Cell, led by Assistant Professor Muhammed Nizar P, is a vital initiative at our college dedicated to ensuring a safe and respectful environment. Committed to preventing any form of ragging, the cell conducts awareness programs, counseling sessions, and strictly enforces anti-ragging policies. Professor Muhammed Nizar P, with his dedication to student welfare, guides the cell in promoting a culture of mutual respect and support. Join us in fostering a campus free from ragging, where every student feels secure and can focus on their academic journey, under the vigilant coordination of Professor Muhammed Nizar P.

    1. Suspensions from attending the classes and academic privileges.
    2. Withholding/withdrawing the scholarship/fellowship and other benefits.
    3. Debarring from appearing any test / examination or other evaluation process. withholding of results.
    4. Debarring from representing he institution in any regional, national or international meet, tournament, youth festival, etc.
    5. Expulsion from the institution and consequent debarring from admission to any other institution for specific periods.
    6. As per the order of Supreme Court of India and subsequent Notification from University Grants Commission (UGC), ragging constitutes one or more of any intention by any student or group of students on:
      1. Any act of Indiscipline, Teasing or Handling with Rudeness.
      2. Any act that Prevents, Disrupts the Regular Academic Activity.
      3. Any activity which is likely to cause Annoyance, hardship, Psychological Harm or creates Fear or Apprehension.
      4. Any Act of Financial Extortion or Forceful Expenditure.
      5. Any Act of Physical Abuse causing Assault, Harm or danger to Health.
      6. Any Act of abuse by spoken words, emails, SMS or public insult etc.
      7. Any Act of injury or infringement of the fundamental right to the human dignity.
      8. Any Act of Wrongful Confinement, Kidnapping, molesting or committing unnatural offences, use of criminal forces, trespass or intimidation.
      9. Any unlawful assembly or conspiracy to ragging.

 

Punishment to those found guilty

Any student or group of students found guilty of ragging in the campus or even outside the campus shall be liable to one or more of the following punishments

  • Debarring from appearing in any sessional test / University Examination
  • Suspension from attending classes and academic privileges
  • Withdrawing scholarships and other benefits
  • Suspension from the college
  • Cancellation of the admission
  • Withholding the results.
